For usage with special low usage data package, video resolution of SD (640 x 360) without cloud service and medium or low sensitivity would normally be used. 32 GB microSD card included for video storage.
Low rate data package covers usage of over 450 MB with a lifetime of over 7 years. Additional data available at a cost of $15.00 per 500 MB. Although the cost per GB is high, the long lifetime of package may make this option the best choice.
Calculating usage:
In a security setting with very low activity such as a remote cabin or worksite, average usage is less than 50 MB per month. The 400+ MB included with sale should last 8 months. For extremely low usage such as occasional use, data package will last at least 7 years.

Standby only (24/7): Under 30 MB per month – usage may be higher in areas with poor signal coverage.

**GCI coverage has not been verified for rural areas. This camera does not support LTE band 5 commonly used in rural Alaska.
Known limitations on cameras:
Camera uses Lithium Polymer batteries for operation when solar or external power is not available. In Alaska, from October until March, unit will have periods of non-operation during cold or extended cloudy weather. Low temperature limit of batteries is +4 F for use and +32 F for recharging. Camera has been tested down to -40 F with bright sunshine or external power connected.
Pan-Tilt motor may cease to function at temperatures below -15 F.
Camera lens is not heated and will be subject to frost, rain, dust. Protecting camera with an overhead cover may minimize this problem.
Motion detection may trigger on any movement increasing power and data usage. Leaves, branches, hanging objects, etc might need to be cleared or relocated.
Camera contains software and hardware developed and connected to entities located in other countries including China and Germany which may be limited by United States or other country government action or cellular provider limitations. Full service purchasers in Alaska will receive full refund with return of camera during first 30 days and pro-rata refund calculated at $10.00 per month during next 5 months.
Satisfactory performance of camera requires at least a 3 bar signal from cellular provider. Data SIM provided automatically selects best carrier available. Data service not available and camera will not function on Verizon (or Copper Valley Cellular) network.
Full service package does not include coverage for loss or theft of camera.
